Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Karlie Redd is clearing her name after prosecutors dropped burglary charges against her several months following her arrest.
Redd, whose legal name is Karlie Lewis, was arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia, on April 23. On Thursday, her attorney, Steve Sadow, confirmed that prosecutors filed a formal decision to dismiss the case.
According to the court order, “While probable cause exists, the State is unable to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
In a statement shared through her legal team, Redd said the accusations stemmed from her ongoing divorce and that the claims were entirely false.
“I want to clearly state that I was never guilty of the allegations made against me,” she said. “These claims were completely untrue, and I was unfairly targeted by false statements made by my ex-husband.”
The reality star said she is relieved to have the case behind her and expressed gratitude for those who stood by her side.
“The dismissal of all charges confirms the truth,” she said. “I am thankful for my legal team, my family, my supporters, and everyone who supported me during this difficult time.”
“My focus now is on continuing my work, advocating for survivors, and moving forward with strength and grace,” she said.
