Kandi Pulls The Plug On Todd’s Restaurant Dreams? Last Old Lady Gang Location Closes

It looks like the end of an era in Atlanta’s restaurant scene.

Media Take Out has learned that the final remaining Old Lady Gang restaurant location, the Camp Creek spot, quietly closed its doors this weekend. That location was the last operating restaurant connected to the once expansive venture launched by Kandi Burruss and her estranged husband Todd Tucker.

And insiders say this closure may signal something bigger.

FROM REALITY TV TO RESTAURANT REALITY

Kandi and Todd famously went into business together, opening multiple Old Lady Gang restaurants across Atlanta. The Southern comfort brand, inspired by Kandi’s family recipes, quickly became a hot spot for fans and tourists alike.

They later expanded with Blaze Steak and Seafood, an upscale dining concept that aimed to elevate their hospitality footprint.

But sources close to Kandi tell Media Take Out that behind the scenes, the restaurant ventures were struggling financially.

One insider described the businesses bluntly as a “money pit.”

WHOSE DREAM WAS IT?

According to multiple people familiar with the situation, the restaurant expansion was largely Todd’s vision.

“It was Todd’s dream to own restaurants and Kandi went along with it,” one source explained. “Now that they are no longer together, Kandi’s not going to be financing any more of Todd’s dreams.”

Those are strong words.

While neither Kandi nor Todd has publicly detailed the financial dynamics of their split, it appears that without Kandi’s backing, the restaurant operations could not continue.

A SHIFT IN PRIORITIES

Kandi has long been known as one of the most business savvy stars to come out of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. From music royalties to Broadway productions to television projects, she has built an empire well beyond reality TV.

With the split, insiders say she is refocusing her energy on ventures that are independently profitable and aligned with her long term goals.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR TODD?

Todd has often described himself as a creative entrepreneur, and it remains to be seen whether he will attempt to revive the restaurant dream independently.

For now, the closing of the Camp Creek Old Lady Gang marks the end of the couple’s final joint dining venture.

And in Atlanta, that is major tea.

One thing is clear. When relationships change, business partnerships often follow.
