Prosecutors have declined to pursue domestic battery charges against former NFL star Marcellus Wiley following his arrest last month over an alleged altercation with his wife, Annemarie Wiley.
The State of Florida decided yesterday not to file charges, according to court records. Prosecutors said testimony gathered in the investigation was “not corroborated by any physical or other evidence” and was therefore “insufficient to obtain conviction.”
Marcellus was arrested July 4 in Florida and released from the Orange County jail the next day after posting $1,000 bond. He was also placed under a no-contact order that barred him from coming within 500 feet of Annemarie.
Days after his arrest, Marcellus publicly denied the allegations.

“I’m deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and concern for me and my itty bitties,” he wrote on X. “I completely and unequivocally deny these allegations, and I’m certain the truth will prevail.”
Annemarie, formerly of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, alleged in divorce and restraining-order filings that Marcellus subjected her to physical violence, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and intimidation. She also accused him of raping her four times.
“I am afraid of Marcellus, and I fear for my own safety and for the safety of our children,” Annemarie wrote in one filing.
Marcellus has denied the accusations and previously said his “focus remains on my children, my integrity, and the truth.”
