Britney Spears’ son Jayden James Federline is shutting down the bizarre online theory that a clone has replaced his mother.
The 19-year-old addressed the viral speculation during a recent livestream, calling the claims “ridiculous” after seeing a TikTok video questioning whether Spears is still alive.
“I hop on TikTok and everyone on TikTok, I see this one video that has 1.2 million likes, and the caption is like, ‘The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?’” Jayden said. “Like, bro, you can go to her page and see her right now.”
“People know how gullible people are, and they use that to their advantage,” Jayden, whose father is Kevin Federline, stated. “Anyone that sees it, they just see it and if it has a lot of likes, they believe it.” He added that viewers often accept viral claims without researching them.
Jayden’s defense comes as he and Spears continue rebuilding their relationship. The singer, who also shares son Sean Preston Federline, 20, with Kevin, celebrated reconnecting with Jayden in a 2024 social media post.
“He came back and he feels older and smarter than me,” Spears wrote, calling him “the miracle and genius he is.”
Her former husband Sam Asghari has also supported the reunion.
“She has amazing boys,” Asghari said. “I wish her nothing but the best and love.”
