Sean “Diddy” Combs will be heading home sooner than previously expected.
According to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, the music mogul’s projected release date has been moved to April 25, 2028. Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence on prostitution related charges. His release had initially been scheduled for May 2028, but was later adjusted to June.
The 56-year-old is being held at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey after a transfer from New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center last fall.
Shortly after his arrival at Fort Dix, rumors circulated that Diddy had violated prison rules. His representative denied the claims at the time.
“He has not violated any prison rules,” the spokesperson said in a previous statement to PEOPLE. “His sobriety and self discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”
During his sentencing, Diddy addressed the court directly. “I am not this larger than life person. I am just a human being,” he said, expressing regret for his actions. “I have been humbled and broken to my core.”
The disgraced music mogul will also serve five years of supervised release following his prison term.
