Sean “Diddy” Combs has received an earlier projected prison release date, and federal records now show the music mogul could regain his freedom on February 6, 2028.
The new date moves Diddy’s anticipated release forward by 25 days from March 2, 2028, which was still listed in prison records last month, TMZ reports.
Previous dates have included January 21, February 5 and February 20.
The adjustment comes shortly after Diddy’s transfer to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania, where he is continuing to serve his federal prison sentence.
The Bureau of Prisons has not publicly disclosed what prompted the latest change. Although the updated records suggest Diddy could leave prison earlier than expected, projected release dates are subject to further adjustments.
Diddy has always maintained his innocence.
“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he said in a since-deleted social media video back in 2024. “I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
