Brian Littrell Comes Forward With New Testimony in Nick Carter’s Sexual Assault Case

Nick Carter has enlisted support from fellow Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell as he continues fighting sexual assault allegations brought by two women.

Littrell submitted a declaration in court documents filed this week, according to TMZ, detailing the security measures surrounding the group’s wildly popular 2001 tour. His account addresses allegations from Shannon Ruth, who claims Carter sexually assaulted her on a tour bus after a Washington concert that year.

Ruth alleges the singer gave her a drink she suspected contained alcohol before forcing her into a sexual act.

Carter has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

“In the 2001 timeframe, the Backstreet Boys were world-renowned and at the height of their fame,” Littrell wrote.

That popularity, he explained, came with restrictions that affected nearly every aspect of the singers’ daily lives.

“The only time my band members and I were left alone was in the privacy of our own hotel rooms,” he stated.

Littrell also recalled that the group traveled as “one unit,” arguing that established security procedures would not have permitted Carter to be alone with an unfamiliar fan aboard a bus. Carter is currently battling Ruth and Melissa Schuman in court. Both have accused him of sexual assault.

Carter maintains the allegations are false and claims the women coordinated their accusations.
