Young Thug’s Brother Unfoonk Walks Free After Years Behind Bars!

Young Thug’s older brother Unfoonk is back home after being released from prison on parole following a probation violation tied to the YSL RICO case.

The Atlanta rapper, whose real name is Quantavious Grier, was released August 11, 2026, according to social media posts announcing his return.

Unfoonk originally pleaded guilty in December 2022 to violating Georgia’s RICO Act and theft by receiving stolen property. He received a 12-year sentence, with two years credited as time served and the remaining 10 years set to be served on probation.

In June 2023, Judge Ural Glanville revoked Unfoonk’s probation and sentenced him to nine years and six months behind bars after prosecutors presented evidence from a May 2023 traffic stop.

Authorities said a firearm was found inside the vehicle and alleged Unfoonk had been around people he was prohibited from contacting under the terms of his probation.

His release comes nearly two years after Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, walked free in October 2024 after entering a non-negotiated plea in the same case. The court specifically allowed Thug to continue having contact with his biological brother.

Before his legal troubles, Unfoonk released music through the YSL circle, including his 2021 project My Struggle.
