Young Buck still has love for G-Unit, even after years of publicly beefing with 50 Cent.
Buck revealed that he approached Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo about getting the group back together.
“I haven’t heard from, I’ve reached out to Banks and stuff like that,” Buck told Diverse Mentality, adding that everyone seems to be moving through life on separate paths.
Buck and 50’s relationship first unraveled publicly in 2008, when 50 removed him from G-Unit amid disagreements involving money, loyalty, and Buck’s career decisions. Buck later said one early source of friction was his decision to continue working with Sha Money XL after Sha and 50 had fallen out.
Young Buck wants G-Unit back together?! During our exclusive interview with Young Buck, the former G-Unit rapper told us he tried to reach out to Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo to talk about putting the group back together. Buck also expressed kind words and said he will always have love for 50 Cent and the whole crew for the opportunity they gave him and the music history they wrote together. With Buck and 50 back trading s*ots these past couple days, it’s safe to say that reunion will be very hard to obtain.

Things got uglier when 50 released a private phone call in which an emotional Buck pleaded to remain part of the group. Buck later said he felt betrayed by the move and fired back musically with “Taped Conversation.” 50 also repeatedly trolled Buck after he was accused of having a relationship with a transgender woman.
Their beef reignited years later over Buck’s G-Unit contract and his ability to release music. In 2022, Buck said the two were “at a standstill” and argued the dispute could be resolved if they simply had a business conversation.
“I salute 50 for even that opportunity,” he said in his latest interview. “I hate things ended the way they ended.”
