Wendy Osefo Reveals Why She Wanted to Quit ‘RHOP’

Dr. Wendy Osefo almost walked away from The Real Housewives of Potomac, but her husband, Eddie Osefo, encouraged her to reconsider.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Wendy, 42, admitted she seriously questioned returning to the Bravo reality series for Season 11.

“If it was left up to me, my answer would have been no,” she confessed.

After seven seasons on the show, Wendy wondered whether continuing to share her personal life with viewers was worth it.

“Do I even want to go back? Do I even want to put myself in this position?” she recalled asking herself.

Eddie, however, believed his wife wasn’t finished telling her story.

“He says, ‘Yeah, I definitely think you should go back. I think that your story does not end here, and just see it through,'” Wendy shared.

The couple’s decision comes during a challenging period. Both face felony charges involving alleged insurance fraud and conspiracy. They have denied wrongdoing, and their trial is scheduled for January 2027.

Wendy credited her family’s encouragement with helping her push forward. She also revealed that viewers may notice a quieter version of her this season.

“I am naturally very, very, very soft-spoken,” she explained, adding that loved ones recognize that side of her when she’s struggling emotionally.
