UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento has died at age 34 after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep, the promotion announced Monday, August 3.
Nascimento was found unresponsive, and emergency responders were unable to revive him.
“Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene,” the UFC said in a statement. “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
The Brazilian fighter, known by the nickname “Puro Osso,” built a 22-7 professional record during a career that began in 2011. A skilled submission specialist, he joined the UFC roster in 2021 after previously competing on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Nascimento went 4-2 across six UFC appearances and earned two Performance of the Night bonuses. He trained at Chute Boxe Diego Lima in São Paulo alongside former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
His final fight came against Mitch Raposo at UFC Vegas 119 in Las Vegas on June 20. Nascimento lost the closely contested flyweight bout by split decision.
Nascimento had been scheduled to participate in a Charles Oliveira Experience event on August 9 before his death.
