Tyrese is still hoping to collaborate with Mary J. Blige, and in a recent Instagram Live session on Labor Day, Tyrese revealed that he’d reached out to Blige with two songs, inviting her to join him on new music, but that she turned him down.
The singer admitted to feeling disappointed, stating, “I’m hurt. I’m really hurt, I can’t lie.”
Despite the setback, Tyrese kept his cool, referring to Blige as “legendary” and stressing that he’s been interested in working with her for years.
This isn’t the first time Tyrese has publicly discussed his desire to collaborate with the Grammy-winning artist.
In July 2023, he took to Instagram Live to ask the megastar to reach out to him as he did not have her personal contact information.
However, in 2022, Tyrese made headlines after attempting to place his hand on Blige’s thigh during an event, a gesture that she quickly rejected. Fans speculate that this could be one of the main reasons Mary J. Blige has been dodging his calls.
