Tupac Shakur’s loved ones are opening their private archives as cameras follow them through the conviction and sentencing of the man found guilty in his 1996 killing.

A new feature documentary from Sky will chronicle Keefe D’s murder case through the eyes of Tupac’s family and inner circle, the company announced this week.

AllHipHop reports that Director Marian Mohamed’s still-untitled film has been shooting alongside relatives, including Tupac’s brother Mopreme Shakur, as the decades-old case finally reached a jury.

“I want this film to give a voice to a family who are not just grieving,” Mohamed said.

The documentary will mix the courtroom story with previously unseen family footage and photographs, giving Tupac’s relatives space to discuss his life as well as the aftermath of his death.

Duane “Keefe D” Davis was convicted of first-degree murder on Aug. 31 for his role in the Las Vegas drive-by shooting that killed Tupac in September 1996.

Prosecutors said Davis orchestrated the shooting after Tupac and others attacked his nephew, Orlando Anderson, at the MGM Grand earlier that night.

Davis has maintained his legal fight is not finished and has said he intends to appeal.

Before that battle moves forward, he is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 13. Sky says the documentary will cover that hearing.

The film is expected to debut on Sky Documentaries and NOW in 2027.
