Donald Trump is a huge fan of Nicki Minaj… particularly her backside, which he shouted out during a Michigan rally on Sunday, telling supporters that the rapper’s appearance was “hard to miss.”
“By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before Nicki Minaj,” the president, 80, declared during the event in Port Huron. “That’s hard to miss.”
Trump remarked while revisiting an earlier admission that he had examined Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s backside after hearing stories about his college football career. The president said former NFL coach Jon Gruden had described Husted as an aggressive defensive back, which made him curious about the senator’s physique.
“I looked at his ass, and I’ve never done that with a man before. It’s true,” Trump told the crowd. He then joked, “Off the record, women yes, men no. Okay.”
Minaj, 43, had traveled to Michigan with Trump aboard Air Force One earlier that day.
During the flight, she reportedly praised his business instincts, negotiating abilities and work ethic in a conversation with White House communications director Steven Cheung.
Trump later acknowledged that his remarks about the rapper might not have landed as intended.
“I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki,” he said.
