Treach has officially killed any hope of a Naughty by Nature reunion, saying the group’s long-running business disputes have made getting back together impossible.
“I can tell y’all right now that it’ll never happen,” the rapper said during a recent episode of The Real Report with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda.
Treach cited broken trust and what he called “behind-the-back business deals” as reasons he no longer sees a future with fellow members Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee.
The trio became hip-hop staples in the 1990s with songs such as “O.P.P.,” “Hip Hop Hooray” and “Feel Me Flow” and have gone through multiple splits over the decades. Financial disputes contributed to an early-2000s breakup, and their problems became especially public in 2013 when Treach announced that Vin had been “fired.”
Treach later said he and Vin had worked through some of their issues, though he described their connection as business rather than friendship.
That history made an October 2024 reunion particularly surprising. All three members appeared together at radio personality Miss Jones’ birthday celebration in New Jersey and performed “Uptown Anthem,” giving longtime fans reason to believe another reunion might be possible.
Treach now says that moment should not be mistaken for a comeback.
