Tory Lanez won’t be stepping onto a concert stage anytime soon, but his music is packing venues while he serves a decade-long prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
The incarcerated rapper’s Not On ‘Tor’ Tour has generated enough demand that organizers upgraded locations after its September debut in New York City.
Fans aren’t buying tickets to see Lanez perform. Instead, they’re attending listening parties featuring his music, DJs and appearances by other entertainers.
“NY was INSANEEE … We now have to upgrade all cities to bigger venues,” organizers announced through his Instagram account.
The New York crowd included fellow rappers Bobby Shmurda, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, A$AP Ferg and Pressa.
But the growing interest comes with renewed scrutiny of Lanez’s criminal history.
In December 2022, a Los Angeles jury convicted him of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and two additional weapons offenses following the 2020 shooting of Megan.
The rapper, sentenced to 10 years in August 2023, continues to deny responsibility but an appeals court still upheld his conviction in November 2025. Lanez also survived a prison stabbing in May 2025, an attack that required medical treatment.
The tour’s Los Angeles stop has been moved to a larger venue ahead of its Oct. 15 date. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh and New Orleans ticket holders are receiving refunds until the tour announces replacement dates.
