Timbaland’s Ex-Manager Says Producer ‘Spent All of His Money’ in $15 Million Lawsuit

Timbaland is accusing two former members of his management team of stealing millions of dollars and mishandling his finances so badly that his home nearly went into foreclosure.

The Grammy-winning producer, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, filed a $15 million lawsuit Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court against former manager Gary Marella and former business manager Bruce Seckendorf.

According to the 65-page complaint, Marella allegedly “stole millions in unauthorized commissions, fees, and reimbursements” while Seckendorf failed to make mortgage and federal tax payments.

Timbaland claims he discovered the alleged misconduct after receiving a foreclosure notice in 2025. The lawsuit says both executives were terminated in 2025.

“The foreclosure was not caused simply because Plaintiffs had no money,” the lawsuit states.

The producer alleges his representatives continued collecting substantial payments while leaving his mortgage unpaid and allowing tax penalties to accumulate. The complaint also disputes commissions connected to his Verzuz venture and 2019 music catalog sale.

“Unfortunately, Tim is attempting to shift responsibility for his own overspending and financial decisions onto someone else (again),” Marella said in response.

Marella claims the team generated approximately $75 million in business during their working relationship but says Timbaland continued spending excessively.

“His financial problems did not begin with me,” Marella added.
