Tiffany Haddish is avoiding more time behind bars after pleading guilty in her 2022 Georgia driving case.
The actress and comedian pleaded guilty by video Tuesday, August 11, to a misdemeanor alcohol-related driving charge, the Associated Press reported. She was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to stay away from drugs and alcohol and complete a substance abuse evaluation.
Haddish received credit for the short period she spent in jail after her arrest, meaning she will not return to custody in the case. The other charges were dropped.
Her arrest came in January 2022 after Peachtree City police responded to a 911 report of a driver who had allegedly fallen asleep at a traffic light.
Police said they found a vehicle matching the description on Highway 74.
“Subsequent investigation led to Ms. Tiffany Haddish being arrested for Driving Under the Influence,” authorities stated via PEOPLE. “She was transported to the Fayette County Jail without incident.”
She posted bond and was released the same day.
Haddish later faced a separate arrest on suspicion of DUI in Beverly Hills in 2023. She pleaded no contest to a vehicle code violation the following year as part of a deal that resulted in two misdemeanor DUI charges being dropped.
