Tiffany Haddish blamed President Donald Trump for Team USA’s World Cup disaster, before mocking his “tiny hands.”
“People are blaming Donald Trump for the loss after he got FIFA to help Team USA,” Haddish, 46, said while guest-hosting a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! “It seems like everything Trump touches dies. Which I guess is why his tiny hands are all [expletive] up.”
Trump had personally contacted FIFA President Gianni Infantino and requested a review of the red card given to U.S. forward Folarin Balogun. The resulting suspension was lifted, allowing Balogun to face Belgium.
The presidential assist did not bring the ending American fans wanted. Belgium crushed Team USA 4-1, sending the co-hosts out of the World Cup.
Trump later defended the call, saying, “All I did, I asked for a review because I didn’t think it was a foul.”
Haddish had a lot to say.
“I’m really enjoying the World Cup though,” she said. “I have never watched so much soccer in my life.” Her joke soon reached the White House. Asked to respond, spokesperson Davis Ingle fired back, “Who the hell is Tiffany Haddish?”
