Brittany Cartwright says she hopes ex-husband Jax Taylor and his new girlfriend, Lori Krebs, are “absolutely miserable.”
“I never wish bad for anybody, but they have to be absolutely miserable,” Brittany, 37, told PEOPLE in a video posted on Tuesday. “And I hope they are.”
Brittany also took a swipe at Lori, who previously worked as her publicist, and questioned why Jax, 47, was drawn to the relationship.
“My honest opinion is that my ex needs a mommy,” she said. “I’ve never seen another publicist want to be the center of attention like she did.”

Her comments came days after Jax declared that he was no longer single. When a fan suggested he should become the next star of The Bachelor, he replied, “No thanks I am taken. [heart emoji]” Multiple sources previously told PEOPLE that Jax is dating Lori after the pair were photographed together in Mexico.
A source told E! News that the romance began after Jax and Lori had separated from their respective partners, denying there had been a “years-long secret affair.”
Before speaking out, Brittany said she was waiting until she felt ready to address the relationship.
“As of right now, I am focusing on me and the most important thing in my life,” she said on her podcast, “which is my beautiful son.”
Brittany and Jax share 5-year-old Cruz and finalized their divorce earlier this year.
