EXCLUSIVE: Inside Teyana Taylor’s Pre-Met Gala Burlesque Bash! Savannah, Ayesha, Gabrielle & The “A-List” Take Over NYC!

Media Take Out has the absolute front-row seats to the hottest ticket in town! Before the 2026 Met Gala officially kicks off with its “Costume Art” theme, Teyana Taylor decided to set the city on fire with a sultry, star-studded pre-party that had Manhattan at a standstill.

Teyana didn’t just host a party; she hosted a performance. The theme was “Vintage Burlesque,” and honey, the guest list was a “Who’s Who” of Black Hollywood excellence and NBA royalty.

The Hostess With The Mostest: Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor is having the best year of her life, and it shows. Stepping out in a custom Calvin Klein red two-piece gown, Teyana looked like a living work of art. The look featured a plunging sculptural bra top embellished with floral appliqués and a shimmering, liquid-like red skirt. She carried a single red rose all night, channeling classic burlesque glamour while showing off that legendary 10-pack and her radiant beauty.

The Best Dressed Guests: “Face Cards Never Decline”

The room was packed with beauty, but the heavy hitters really brought the drama. Lala Anthony wore a breathtaking silver mesh two-piece dress that reminded everyone why she’s seen as one of the most beautiful women in the world. The look was sheer, chic, and showed every curve. Not to be outdone, Savannah James opted for a little black dress that exuded pure sex appeal, confidence, and “quiet luxury.”

Nia Long also kept it classic in a black mini-dress and a sharp tuxedo jacket. As great as her outfit looked, her legendary “face card” was even better—she hasn’t aged a day! Gabrielle Union went for an extra classy vibe, wearing an Asian-inspired silk green floral dress that brought a touch of global high fashion to the burlesque theme. Meanwhile, Ayesha Curry kept things demure in a much more toned-down black dress that gave off total Jackie O. vibes.

A Night of Sisterhood and Celebration

Insiders tell Media Take Out that despite the high-fashion drama, the night was all about sisterhood. Savannah and Ayesha were spotted in deep conversation in a VIP booth, while Teyana and Gabrielle Union shared a laugh over a tray of specialized “Petal & Prosecco” cocktails. There was no ego in that room—just a bunch of powerful, beautiful women celebrating Teyana’s success before the madness of the Met Gala stairs.

The Met 2026 Connection

With Beyoncé and Venus Williams co-chairing this year’s “Costume Art” gala, the expectations are sky-high. If Teyana’s pre-party is any indication, the red carpet is going to be one for the history books.

Who do you think had the best “Pre-Met” look? Was it Lala’s silver mesh or Nia Long’s classic face card? Let us know in the comments!
