The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s 14th season sent the internet into a frenzy after cast split down the middle amid Melissa Gorga’s war with sister-in-law Teresa Giudice.
On her Turning The Tables podcast, Teresa didn’t hold back when addressing the drama, and spilled the tea on why most of the cast sided with her opp.
“I guess they want my spot. And it’s like, let’s try to tear Teresa down. So if we tear her down, then we can take her spot or hurt someone that I love,” she said. “That’s why I’m always trying to defend myself, which is not always a fun thing to do.” She admitted that the ongoing battles don’t “show the best side of me.”
The reality star also confessed that the constant scheming had taken a toll.
“Look, that’s why now obviously we’re on pause,” Teresa revealed. “So hopefully, you know, something changes in the future. Because … you should be lifting each other up, not tearing … people down.”
Teresa had previously stated that the tension led to a lack of “comedy” on the show.
“It got so dark,” she added. “I mean, you saw it … I feel like everyone that really knows me, they’re like, ‘That’s not you, the Teresa that we see on TV.’ Cause I’m so fun to hang out with. And everyone always tells me how funny I am … Where’s that Teresa?”
Bravo recently revealed that the cast will soon begin filming Season 15.
