After his recent arrest, Tekashi 6ix9ine took to social media to post a statement in Spanish to his fans.

“First I want to thank God that I am fine. Thanks to everyone who has me in prayer… I feel so happy seeing you in full support,” he wrote adding that he would give the people of La Vega with a “gift” when he’s released. “Thank you for your support I will return I love you.”

6ix9ine was reportedly arrested in the Dominican Republic while trying to leave the country on a private plane over an alleged assault.

The New York rapper is accused of running up on two producers over an incident involving his girlfriend. Surveillance footage was released of 6ix9ine and two other men running into a building and fleeing the scene moments later.

The producers were part of Dominican artist Diamond La Mafia’s team.

“He caught both of my producers,” he said. I had just left the studio, and Yailin had just left. He was making her believe he was in Miami, and suddenly, he appeared at the studio in La Vega and attacked my producers, who were innocent and unknown to him. 6ix9ine came to the studio, jealous over Yailin. I’m here with my wife, and he attacked all my producers. I had left the studio just five minutes ago… the bravest one came with 70 people, why didn’t he come alone?”
