Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex-husband, Tate Paul, is asking a Utah court for a restraining order against the reality star and is also seeking sole custody of their two children.

According to legal documents, Tate filed the request Tuesday in connection with the former couple’s 2022 divorce case. Sources close to Tate told the outlet he also moved for sole custody of their daughter, Indy, and son, Ocean.

The filings are sealed, leaving the reason for the request unclear, but TMZ reported that Tate submitted five exhibits and a declaration to support his filing.

Taylor, known to Hulu viewers from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has continued to make headlines beyond the show as her family life plays out in court. She and Tate have been co-parenting since their divorce, and she has also been navigating legal issues with her more recent ex, Dakota Mortensen.

“It’s hard to see past this, I’m not going to lie. In this moment, it’s just so heavy,” she said on Good Morning America back in March.

She continued, “When your life is broadcasted out there in these headlines, it’s like the end of the world. That’s what it feels like.”

Earlier this year, Mortensen contacted police over concerns related to a protective order and the exchange of their child, Ever, as Taylor was preparing for the possible release of her season of The Bachelorette.
