Suspect in Rihanna Home Shooting Allegedly Called Singer a ‘Witch’ in Videos

A woman accused of firing shots at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home allegedly shared a series of disturbing social media videos before the incident.

Authorities arrested Ivanna Ortiz, 35, after police responded to reports of gunfire near the singer’s property on March 8. Officers later recovered a weapon and took the suspect into custody. No injuries were reported, according to officials.

In several videos posted online before the shooting, Ortiz appeared to speak about Rihanna in rambling clips that contained unusual claims about the global pop star. In one video, Ortiz alleged that the singer was “jealous” of her and accused her of “stealing from people.” In another post, she called Rihanna a “witch” and made additional statements about religion and spirituality.

Police said multiple shots were fired toward the home from a vehicle parked across the street. One bullet reportedly struck part of the exterior wall of the property.

A source told PEOPLE that Rihanna was inside the house at the time of the incident but was unharmed. The singer shares the home with her partner A$AP Rocky and their three children.

“Rihanna heard the shots and was confused at first,” the source said. “It was terrifying.”

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue reviewing evidence and Ortiz’s social media activity.
