Suge Knight went off on J. Cole after he apologized to Kendrick Lamar for his diss track, “7 Minute Drill.”
“J. Cole, you supposed to say what you mean and mean what you say,” Suge said on his Collect Call podcast. “To be the best, you gotta beat the best. This is a contact sport. As we used to say back in the day, if you don’t want to be a gangsta rapper, go be R&B.”
While reacting to J. Cole apologizing to Kendrick Lamar, Suge Knight tells J. Cole, "If you don't want to be a gangster rapper, go be R&B," and says, "With that attitude, we'll still be in slavery."

Cole apologized to Kendrick on stage at Dreamville Fest and his apology has divided hip-hop.
Suge continued, “J. Cole, with that attitude, we’d still be in slavery. I’m going to tell you like I tell my son, if you act like a p-ssy, people going to treat you like a p-ssy.”
Suge also crowned K.Dot as the winner of the battle.
“West Coast, stand up,” he says in the clip. “It’s a victory. Kendrick Lamar is a real muthaf-cka from the hood. He really from there and everybody going to ride with him.”
