Stefon Diggs has been found not guilty on strangulation and assault and battery charges following a two-day trial in Massachusetts.
A jury returned the verdict after roughly 90 minutes of deliberation in Norfolk County District Court on May 5.
The NFL wide receiver had been accused by his former live-in chef, Jamila “Mila” Adams, of choking and slapping her during an alleged altercation at his home in Dedham on Dec. 2, 2025. Adams testified that Diggs “smacked me with an open hand” and claimed she struggled to breathe while he allegedly wrapped an arm around her neck.
Diggs pleaded not guilty to both charges. During the trial, defense attorneys argued there was no physical evidence, medical documentation, or eyewitness testimony supporting Adams’ allegations.

The defense also questioned why Adams waited to file a police report and later presented videos showing her smiling and dancing in New York shortly after the alleged incident.
Following the verdict, a representative for Diggs said, “No assault ever occurred.” Attorney Mitchell Shuster added that the case was “an attempt to extract money” and said Diggs wanted “his day in court so that his truth could be heard.”
Diggs did not speak publicly after leaving the courthouse. The former New England Patriots receiver remains unsigned after being released by the team in March.
