Social Media Uproar Forces ‘RHOBH’ Alum Taylor Armstrong to Apologize

Taylor Armstrong is apologizing after facing backlash over comments she made about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 54, drew criticism after sharing an Instagram Stories post that superimposed her face onto Russell Crowe’s character from Gladiator. Alongside the image, she questioned the halftime show and referenced its use of Spanish and a flag she later acknowledged she misidentified.

Earlier this week, Taylor returned to Instagram Stories with a statement expressing regret.

“My post did not fully reflect my heart or my respect for the artist and culture as a whole,” she wrote. “While I personally didn’t connect with the creative direction of this year’s halftime show, that doesn’t take away from the fact that Bad Bunny is an American and that the Spanish language is a prominent aspect of American culture.”

Taylor also admitted her lack of awareness led to confusion about the flag used during the performance. “I sincerely apologize and plan to learn from this,” she added. “America is special because people from every culture and background can come here, share their talent, and make their dreams come true.”

She closed by saying, “My intention was never to offend anyone’s culture or language, and I’m deeply sorry to those I hurt.”

Her apology comes as fellow Bravo alum Jill Zarin also faced consequences for similar remarks about the same performance. After her clip went viral, she was ditched from E!’s upcoming reality series, The Golden Life.
