The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Chase McWhorter will pay a $1,383 fine, complete 48 hours of community service, and spend one year on probation after accepting a plea deal in his DUI case.
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, according to court documents. Prosecutors dropped two additional charges involving driving with a revoked or suspended license and possession of a controlled substance.
The case stems from McWhorter’s arrest during Fourth of July weekend in 2025. A Bluffdale, Utah, officer alleged that the reality star was drifting out of his lane and unable to maintain a steady speed. McWhorter admitted to consuming alcohol at a bar and using cocaine before leaving in his car.
He publicly took responsibility for the incident in a December 2025 TikTok.
“I was pulled over for driving under the influence, had ingested substances that I shouldn’t have, and got behind the wheel of a car,” McWhorter said. He described the choice as “an extremely short-sighted, selfish, dangerous decision.”
McWhorter further explained that he had attended a pool party and expected to stay there, but decided to leave after a fight broke out.
“I should’ve Ubered, but for some reason decided to drive home,” he said. “Obviously, it was humiliating having to be pulled over and taken in.”
He also apologized to his former wife, Miranda Hope, with whom he shares two children, saying he had put others “in real danger.”
