Shia LaBeouf Arrested Again After New Orleans Bar Brawl!

Shia LaBeouf is facing another legal hurdle in New Orleans.

The actor was taken into custody over the weekend on an additional misdemeanor count of simple battery connected to a Feb. 17 altercation outside a bar in the city’s French Quarter. The new charge stems from the same incident that previously led to his arrest during Mardi Gras celebrations.

According to authorities, officers were called shortly after midnight following reports of a disturbance. Police said LaBeouf had been removed from the bar before a fight allegedly broke out on the street. Two men later told officers they were struck during the confrontation.

LaBeouf’s attorney, Sarah Chervinsky, said in a statement that when a new warrant was issued, the actor “voluntarily turned himself in” to the Orleans Parish jail.

“No regular person would be required to post over $100,000 in bonds and be jailed two separate times for one misdemeanor incident,” she said. “Just as he does not deserve preferential treatment, Mr. LaBeouf also does not deserve to be treated more harshly by the police and courts just because he is a public figure.”

LaBeouf later posted a $5,000 bond and was released.

A judge has ordered him to enroll in substance abuse treatment and undergo drug testing as the case moves forward.
