After a rough reunion for Shamea Morton, speculation swirled online that she would not be returning for the next season after fans noticed that “RHOA” was missing from her bio.
Fans were buzzing this week after the Instagram account @Mrhousewives pointed out that Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Shamea Morton appeared to remove “RHOA” from her Instagram bio. The post claimed she’d also unpinned her celebratory “peach” post, prompting speculation she wouldn’t return for Season 17.
The account admitted it was just speculation but noted that her RHOA mention and pinned photos were recently visible. “I’m not convinced she’s out,” the caption read, “but the change didn’t go unnoticed after the Season 16 reunion aired.”
They added that Shamea didn’t have the strongest reunion showing but had standout moments during the season. Fans turned on her after she was allegedly caught out in several lies, including during the reunion.
Shortly after, Shamea responded by reposting a message from Bingeworthy that read: “Shamea NEVA HAD #RHOA in her bio… FAKE NEWS,” along with a screenshot allegedly proving it.
The repost is not an outright denial, and Shamea has not stated whether she plans on returning to the show.
