Porsha Williams may have surprised some of her Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates when she introduced girlfriend Patrice “Sway” McKinney, but one person is now happily admitting she underestimated the relationship.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Shamea Morton responded to a fan question about Porsha and Sway still going strong, despite many viewers assuming the romance might be temporary.
“Listen, Sway was actually her name,” Shamea joked. “She was able to sway Porsha to stay in the lady pond. Good for her. Congratulations!” Shamea even joked that she would support the couple if their relationship became more serious.
“I’ll send a wedding gift if they get engaged,” she added.
Porsha first opened up to the cast about exploring relationships with women earlier this season, later introducing Sway to the group. While many of the women embraced the relationship immediately, Shamea admitted she was unsure how long it would last.
The Watch What Happens Live appearance also touched on the complicated state of Shamea and Porsha’s friendship following their fallout during season 16 of RHOA.
A fan asked whether the longtime friends had truly reached a point beyond repair after viewers noticed the distance between them this season.
“I’m actually really happy with the space that Porsha and I are in right now,” Shamea shared. “We are able to co-exist.”
She added, “Whatever happens, happens.”
Meanwhile, Porsha is currently embroiled in a feud with her fellow cast member, K. Michelle, who has accused her of teaming up with Drew Sidora to try and take her down. Porsha denies the allegations.
