Savannah Guthrie is making a public plea as the search continues for her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie.

In an emotional Instagram video shared Tuesday morning, Savannah Guthrie announced that her family is offering a reward of up to $1 million for information that could lead to Nancy’s recovery. The 84-year-old disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home after last being seen entering the house on Jan. 31.

“Help us bring our beloved mother home,” Savannah said through tears. “Please be the light in the dark. We need her to come home.”

Authorities believe Nancy was taken from the home against her will. Surveillance footage released by the FBI shows a masked individual approaching the residence hours after she arrived home, but investigators have not yet made an arrest.

Savannah acknowledged the painful uncertainty her family is facing. “We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope,” she said. “We also know that she may already be gone.”

She added that if her mother had died, “we need to know where she is.”

Alongside the reward, the family is donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to help other families searching for loved ones.

“It is day 24,” Savannah said. “And we are begging you to come forward now.”
