Saquon Barkley Defends His White House Visit

Tiffany Brockworth |

Saquon Barkley has responded to his supporters who took issue with him golfing with President Donald Trump.

The Philadelphia Eagles hopped on X, formerly Twitter, to claim that the outing was not about Trump but about his respect for the White House.

“lol some people are really upset cause I played golf and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT,” he wrote.

“Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have an amazing day,” he concluded.

Barkley was seen chilling with the president over the weekend at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster before the pair took a flight to Washington on Air Force One and then to the White House on Marine One.

The Eagles won Super Bowl LIX, and it was reported that the team would decline the invitation to the White House, but they did not.
