Rapper Saigon says his beef with Hip Hop duo Mobb Deep cost him at least half of his fanbase.

“That’s why when I look at the segue into y’all career, right, Mobb Deep is one of the best groups of all time, hands down. I lost half my fanbase when we had that fight, bro,” he said of their beef in the 90s.

The interview was for Vlad TV, and Saigon revealed the news to Mobb Deep rapper, Havoc.

Back in 2007, Mobb Deep opened up about a brawl with the rapper.

“We went to Hav’s show, you know how we do, we the Mobb,” Prodigy told. “We was going to show love and celebrate. It was all love. Then we hear [DJ] Premier on the mic saying, ‘We got a special guest performance tonight: Saigon.’ We all looking at each other like, ‘Saigon? What is he doing here? Special guest performance? OK, let’s get up on stage.’ Basically, Hav shows him love. Saigon was like, ‘Oh, it’s all love.’ I was glad that happened. But certain people around us was like, ‘He’s poppin’ sh-t. We f-cking him up.’ And that’s what happened. He caught lumps.”
