After his July departure from ESPN, former NFL safety Ryan Clark has launched The Pivot Sports with Ryan Clark, a new weekly football show with Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor.
The program debuted Monday on The Pivot’s YouTube channel and will air each Monday at 2 p.m. during the season. NFL Films is partnering on the production.
Clark opened the first episode by borrowing from The Pivot’s longtime motto.
“The Pivot’s tagline is ‘Accept, adjust and move forward,’” he said. “I’ve accepted where I am, I’ve adjusted my plan, and this is us moving forward.”ow brings him back to the part of sports media he missed most.
“I didn’t want to be a star, I didn’t want fame, I didn’t want attention,” he continued. “I just really wanted to talk ball and watch film, break it down. Most importantly, do it with people I love to be around.”
Clark said he plans to tap into his extensive NFL contacts while he, Crowder and Taylor review the previous Sunday’s biggest games.
The former Steelers standout joined ESPN in 2015 and became a regular across NFL Live, First Take, Get Up and SportsCenter.
Before television, Clark played 13 NFL seasons, including eight in Pittsburgh. He made the Pro Bowl in 2011 and won Super Bowl XLIII with the Steelers.
