Robyn Dixon is headed back to The Real Housewives of Potomac after sitting out last season, but this time she will return as a supporting player.
An insider confirmed that Robyn will appear on season 11 as a “friend of” the cast instead of returning full-time.
“Robyn is definitely back as a friend,” the source told Reality Blurb.
The insider claimed Robyn initially resisted returning after her departure from the Bravo series. According to the source, she even declined to attend an event hosted by Gizelle Bryant. Now, however, Robyn is reportedly ready to rejoin the group.
A source said she “needed the money” and accepted the offer.
The more limited role could also allow Robyn to avoid the intense scrutiny that often surrounded her marriage to Juan Dixon.
“If she’s in a ‘friend of’ role, this is not something that will be focused on,” the source said. “Juan also didn’t like being dissected on TV and being involved in the show.”
Robyn has remained close with several women in the cast, including Gizelle Bryant. The Real Housewives of Potomac premiered in 2016, with Dixon appearing as one of the original cast members.
