Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger was noticeably missing from the reunion’s seating chart, and after word spread about her absence, her rep confirmed the Grand Dame is in rehab.
“Karen made the important decision to enter a private recovery program, so was unable to attend the reunion taping today,” Karen’s rep said in a statement. “She was fully supported in this choice. We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey and are proud of her for taking such a significant step forward in her personal growth.”
Karen was driving her 2017 Maserati when the Montgomery County Police Department pulled her over. The reality star was officially charged with driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and driving while under the influence of alcohol.
On the show, Karen repeatedly denied having an alcohol problem, but other cast members claim they were not surprised by her recent problems.
Just this week, Robyn Dixon revealed she was not shocked by the news.
“I hate to say it, but I don’t think anyone who knows her was surprised by what we witnessed,” Robyn commented. “What I saw was typical. I wasn’t shocked by the nonsense coming out of her mouth or the denials and deflections that seemed to start right from the beginning.”
