Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant and alum Robyn Dixon have broken their silence on Dr. Wendy Osefo’s shocking arrest earlier this month.
“I am highly shocked, surprised, and disappointed by these charges,” Robyn said on a recent episode of their Reasonably Shady podcast.
Gizelle also expressed disappointment.
“Why? That’s my biggest question?” she went on.
“I immediately thought, first of all, huge disappointment. Sad, right, because this is so sad for their children. Guilty or innocent, their parents were removed from their house and brought down to a police station, and charged. They have mugshots, that is, I’m sure, super scary for their children, so sad,” she continued.
Wendy and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were hit with more than a dozen charges each after they were accused of defrauding their insurance company of close to half a million dollars.
Gizelle thinks the Osefos may have lied about the crime for “materialistic things,” but then the pair questioned why they would need to commit fraud if Eddie’s marijuana business, Happy Eddie, was doing as well as Wendy had previously claimed.
“I saw a clip where she was kind of talking about how well Happy Eddie is doing, so it makes me think, okay, well, was that an exaggeration? Was that not the truth? I don’t know, but it’s also like, why? More why questions. Why did they think they could get away with this?” she added.
