Chris Samuels is speaking out after fresh drama surrounding his wife, Monique Samuels, spilled into a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
The tension began when Stacey Rusch found herself at the center of a brewing storm, accused of passing along a sensitive comment about Chris that she allegedly attributed to Monique.
The accusation came to light when Keiarna Stewart insisted that Karen Huger’s friend Cookie claimed she once spoke with Chris directly, and that he supposedly repeated something Stacey had told him about Monique questioning his skills in the bedroom. Kiearna Stewart has also been inserting herself into the drama, which has upset viewers.
The allegation stirred confusion among the group, especially since Monique had already told Wendy Osefo that she never placed much trust in Cookie. Monique even recalled distancing herself after learning Cookie had been dishonest about parts of her past. For Wendy, the entire confrontation aimed at Stacey felt flimsy without Monique present.
Things escalated when Cookie, frustrated during a heated exchange, was escorted out by security. The tension lingered long after she left, and the questions carried over into the next episode, where Charrisse Jackson-Jordan decided to get answers from the source.
She phoned Chris while cameras rolled, telling him she wanted clarity about whether Stacey ever relayed conversations involving Monique.
Chris sounded baffled. He said he had no idea what everyone was talking about. His dismissal irritated Keiarna, who questioned how he could deny a conversation she believed he clearly recognized. Stacey pushed back, saying Chris’ response proved she had been telling the truth. Yet some of the women watching from the sidelines were still unconvinced.
Gizelle Bryant, never shy about sharing her take, insisted she did not believe Stacey at all. Tia Glover echoed Gizelle’s sentiment with a sarcastic jab, joking that believing Stacey would require believing pigs could fly.
Stacey later told producers that she felt the group had already made up their minds about her, and she no longer intended to worry about trying to win anyone over.
