Jill Zarin has been dropped from the upcoming E! reunion series The Golden Life just days after the project was announced and before cameras ever started rolling.
Producers at Blink49 Studios confirmed the decision in a statement released Tuesday.
“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life,” the company said. “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our standards and values.”
The move followed backlash over a now-deleted Instagram video Zarin shared on Super Bowl Sunday, reacting to Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. In the clip, Zarin criticized the show for being performed in Spanish and suggested it carried a political message.

“It was the worst halftime show ever,” she said. “I don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish.”
Zarin also took issue with the choreography and made remarks about who appeared onstage, later turning her attention to Lady Gaga’s appearance.
“I literally had to Google her face to see who it was,” she said, laughing.
Although Zarin quickly removed the video and disabled comments, the footage circulated widely online. She has not publicly responded to being removed from the series.
