‘RHOM’s Marysol Patton Sparks Backlash After Using AI Video of Late Mom Elsa to Sell Caviar!

Marysol Patton is facing backlash after using artificial intelligence to recreate her late mother, Elsa Patton, in a promotional video for her new luxury food brand.

On Jan. 20, the Real Housewives of Miami star shared an Instagram video unveiling Elsa Caviar, which features an AI-generated version of her mother dressed in gold, pearls, and delivering familiar one-liners. “I didn’t come to this country to have bad caviar,” the recreated Elsa says in the clip. “This is not just caviar. This is a lifestyle.”

The video ends with the line, “I need money. I love money.”

Alongside the post, Marysol explained her intention. “My mother always believed life should be lived beautifully and never cheaply,” she wrote. “This isn’t just caviar. It’s legacy. It’s celebration.”

While some Bravo personalities publicly supported Marysol, many fans were unsettled by the use of AI, calling it “weird” and “tacky” in the comments.

“Um… creating an AI ad of your dead mother to promote a caviar business is certainly.. a choice. This is EXTREMELY weird Marysol. As someone whose mother is also dead, I can’t imagine doing something like this with her image. Jesus Christ,” one viewer wrote.

“I’ve always dreamed since I was a little boy that one day when I’ve passed I’ll be brought back to life with the power of technology to sell caviar on Instagram,” another viewer sarcastically wrote.

Elsa Patton, who died in 2019, became a fan favorite on The Real Housewives of Miami for her sharp wit and unapologetic love of luxury.
