Real Housewives of Atlanta star Brit Eady has been called out by the event planner associated with her disappointing country club event, which aired on Bravo last Sunday.
The cast arrived dressed to the nines, only to be asked to tee off in their couture at a swanky country club. After the surprise golf moment, the glam squad made their way inside for what they thought would be a chic sit-down meal.
While everyone received menus, only the Housewives were served food and drinks. The rest of the guests were left standing, sipping cocktails, starving, and confused. Some Housewives later confessed in their confessional that they felt guilty while others went hungry, calling the situation “uncomfortable” and “kind of cruel.”
Porsha Williams, who has grown close to the newbie, called the event “embarrassing.”
Brit later blamed the mishaps on her event planner, who she says arrived late to the event…but the planner isn’t having any of it.
“I want to be clear: I was not responsible for the food. Brittany asked me to design a menu based on her selections, and the restaurant was in charge of providing and serving it,” she wrote via Instagram.
“Secondly, the venue was not available for private use. The club was open and operating and me and team showed up EARLY not late and was moved around due to production, lighting, etc. All things that were out of our control. We overdid our job,” she added.
The event planner has been identified as Filesen Bure, aka Bella, the CEO of Infinity Events ATL.
“She chose to serve small bites due to budget constraints, which she confirmed in a message. I had no control over food quantity or service, as I’m not an event planner or caterer,” she went on.
“Lastly, any claims that I overcharged or misled anyone are false. I wasn’t even fully compensated for my job and was still in dispute about my balance.” She then says, “There is a clear difference between an event decorator and an event planner. Confusing the two unfairly shifts blame.”
Brit has not responded.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays on Bravo at 8/7c and streams the following day on Peacock.
