‘RHOA’ Viewers Calls Phaedra Parks Out for Being a “Mean Girl”

Lyndon Abioye |

Sunday marked Pheadra Parks’ first full episode since her return to the 16th season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and viewers were shocked to see the Southern Belle throw a lot of unnecessary shade her fellow castmate’s way.

Phaedra meets Drew Sidora, Angela Oakley, and Brit Eady for the first time. In a confessional, she made derogatory remarks about Angela’s looks.

“Angela is the oldest young woman I’ve ever met,” Phaedra gagged. “I hope her personality is more youthful than her face.”

By contrast, Angela told producers that she had heard a lot about Phaedra’s past but wanted to get to know Phaedra for herself, which is the fair thing to do.

She then made a negative remark about Drew’s acting career, pointing out that Drew had been in a lot of “Black Movies,” seemingly turning her nose up at the genre.

In response to Phaedra’s debut, viewers took to social media to criticize her for being a “mean girl,” highlighting the fact that she had claimed the reason she left Married to Medicine was that the other women were behaving like mean girls toward her.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c and streams the following day on Peacock.
