Real Boston Richey says he is done with rap, at least for now.
The Tallahassee rapper shocked his fans earlier this week when he posted on X that he was walking away from music for the streets. “I quit rap. I rather trap,” he wrote, later adding, “B–ches ain’t s–t.”
By Wednesday, Richey sounded less defeated and more defiant. “I already won shit I accomplished n—a will never achieve,” he wrote. “I got a platinum record solo dolo don’t forget it.”
The Florida artist’s career has repeatedly been shadowed by snitching accusations.
In 2023, old, allegedly outdated paperwork and interrogation footage sparked online claims that Richey had cooperated with police in a 2013 stolen-car investigation. The rapper has denied being a snitch, and the allegations have followed him through his rise, even as songs like “Help Me” pushed him further into the mainstream.
Richey’s latest posts also come after his ex-girlfriend, Tatiana Chanell, accused him online of abuse, sexual relationships with minors, and made claims about his sexuality after his song “B–ch You Weird,” which she said was about her.
Richey denied her claims, saying, “I ain’t never been a n—a that try to run to the ’net and speak on my behalf.” He added, “It’s damaging when a person you love take advantage and bully you at all costs.”
