Perez Hilton was rushed to a Florida hospital Tuesday after concerned TikTok viewers called authorities during a livestream in which the celebrity blogger appeared to harm himself.
Deputies with the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hilton’s home after receiving numerous calls about the broadcast, a department spokesperson said in a statement.
Disturbing clips from the video later circulated online.
When deputies arrived, they found Hilton alone inside the residence.
“In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication,” the spokesperson said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue assisted deputies in transporting Hilton to a nearby hospital for medical care. The department’s Crisis Response Unit and licensed mental health professionals also responded to provide support and resources to his family.
“Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilizing crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimize the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public,” the spokesperson added.

Golden Artists Entertainment told TMZ that it had been unable to contact Hilton despite repeated efforts. “Our primary concern is Perez’s health and well-being, as well as the well-being of his family,” co-CEOs Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan said.
