Owner of Bowling Alley Where Takeoff Was Shot Blames The Deceased Rapper In $1 Million Lawsuit

Tiffany Brockworth |

The owners of 810 Billiards and Bowling asked to be dismissed from the $1 million lawsuit brought by the rapper’s mother.

They say that they are not responsible for his death but that Takeoff was the reason he lost his life that night.

Takeoff’s mother says the defendants knew the event required extra security and would pull in a large crowd, “many of whom could be celebrities which in itself presents unique and advances security considerations, none of which were taken.”

She says that despite knowing this, there were no after-hours controls or security measures, no enforcement of rules or industry standards to deter crimes, per Radar Online.

The company responded, stating that “ample evidence exists” supporting a claim that Patrick Clarke’s intentional criminal actions proximately caused, in whole or in part, the damages for which Plaintiffs no seek recovery… There is a reasonable probability that the occurrence in question as well as the damages complained of were proximately caused, in whole or in part, by unknown criminals who participated in unlawful gambling and/or the illegal possession of firearms.”

Clarke allegedly shot and killed Takeoff during a fight over a high-stakes dice game at 810 Billiards & Bowling on Nov. 1, 2022. Clarke denies being the shooter.
