Olivia O’Brien says she learned her alleged relationship with Pete Davidson was over online, not from Davidson himself.
The singer, 26, claimed in an Instagram comment that she had been dating the comedian in 2020 when he suddenly went public with “a more famous woman.”
“I was dating him in 2020 and found out we were no longer together by seeing on snapchat daily mail,” O’Brien wrote. She then called Davidson “an absolute joke of a human being.” O’Brien also claimed that, before the alleged split, the two were in frequent contact.
“Not sure how he has the time considering we were texting 24 hours a day and falling asleep on facetime when we weren’t together,” she wrote. “Busy boy! lmfao.”
O’Brien has discussed Davidson before, although her tone was much warmer in 2022.
On the BFFs podcast, she described him as a “nice guy” and said, “He’s funny, and he’s sweet, he’s a really sweet guy.”
Davidson’s representative denied her earlier account at the time, saying there was “no truth” to the claims.
O’Brien later said her comments had been taken “waaay out of context,” adding, “I never claimed to date anyone.”
