Nicki Minaj’s former manager Sickamore talked about the time he managed her between 2007 and 2008 in a recent interview. According to Sickamore, he had to call her out for talking to him crazy.
He said after the incident, he quit.
“She had this VIBE magazine shoot, you know, it’s like a two-page spread, and she had a diner, and she got to the place, and I wasn’t there, and she didn’t have no trailer. She had to change in the bathroom, and she called me like flipping out, as she should, and then I was cocky. I was like, ‘Man, I don’t need all of this. Just don’t worry about it, you can find your own manager,'” he said.
He continued, He continued: “So she calls me back, she gave me an opportunity, she’s like, ‘Are you sure? Like, you sure you know what you’re doing?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, my own mother don’t talk to me like this. I’m not going to let anybody talk to me like this.’ So we handled business. It was like a little bit of money or whatever. We cleaned that up, next thing I know, ‘Super Bass,’ and I was just like, God damn.”
