Tiffany Haddish says she is “genuinely happy” now that she’s sober following her second arrest on suspicion of DUI.
“I’m very sober,” she told PEOPLE on Wednesday, adding that “I haven’t had a drink” since her November arrest.
“When I sit back and look at my life, everything that’s crazy that’s happened is because somebody or myself had alcohol in their system,” she said. “This is my challenge to people. Stop drinking for six months and just see how your life changes.”
The Girls Trip actor was found asleep at the wheel in a parked car in Beverly Hills, California back in November.
MTO News confirmed that the comedian was charged with two misdemeanor counts: driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of at least 0.08 percent. The star was previously arrested for DUI in Peachtree City, Georgia, in January 2022 after the cops received a call about a driver asleep at the wheel on a highway. She later posted bond and was released from jail. Haddish has been ordered not to drink alcohol or consume illegal drugs and to undergo random drug testing and she must also refrain from using any CBD products all prescription drugs consumed must be within the therapeutic limit.
